A combination of tap, ballet, tumbling and creative movement are used to improve coordination, gross motor skills, confidence and listening skills. WILMINGTON, NC (WSFX) - The dancers and teachers from A Leap Above Dance Studio in Wilmington held a fundraiser Saturday to raise money for the Make-a-Wish foundation.
Family and friends were invited to watch the girls perform their routines, while having the chance to contribute to the cause.
Brooklyne Williams choreographed several of the routines and she says the dancers improved simply by knowing they're making someone's dream come true.
It costs $1,500 to make a wish and at last check, the dancers raised nearly double that amount.
